Robert Allena

Here are some of my guitars and gear.  Photos of the guitars can be found on the Gallery page at left.  It’s a modest collection and, to the chagrin of my wife, continues to grow from time to time.  When asked how many more guitars I need, my answer is as Doyle Dykes proclaims in his song, “Guitar Poor” - “Just One More!”

Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins Tennessee Rose

Ovation Balladeer 1111-1 (1976)

Ovation 1769 ADII Custom Legend

Ovation AX-5 12-String Legend

Alhambra Nylon Flamenco

Gold Tone M-Bass 25  (This acoustic bass is equipped with very unusual Aquila Thundergut polymer strings from Italy.  When run through an amp and despite it’s relatively small size, it sounds incredibly like a full size stand up bass.  This was my most integral add-on piece and I used it on every song on the CD.  What a great job Gold Tone has done in developing this instrument!)

Gibson Les Paul Custom

PRS Al Di Meola Prism

Martin D-28 Dreadnought

Martin 00-15M (Special mention to this great little guitar as I used it work out each arrangement.)

Gold Tone Paul Beard Resonator

Kay Airline D4 Dreadnought (My first guitar, the plywood special.)

Fender Studio 85

Roland AC60 Acoustic used in conjunction with a Roland KCW-1 200W Keyboard Subwoofer
